I want to thank everyone for Praying for my Wife Lois Anderson.
Please let me explain the situation right now with as much information as we have to this point. Lois has been having some physical problems since January, but due to our financial situation we had to put off seeing the Doctor until we could get some kind of financial aid. As many of you know I have been through heart surgery, and still have many other problems along with 2 existing Aneurysm's which has put me unable to work so I am applying for disability which takes forever if you get it. I am still doing the Ministry which does not require extremely heavy lifting but much time on my feet which are also giving me much problems due to Osteoarthritis and Bone Spurs which has now put me using a Cane to walk with. My wife is a large part of my life and with her situation we need your prayers.
We finally got enough money for Lois to see the Doctor and he had her see a specialist which scheduled an Colonoscopy. Lois was very worried because Colon Cancer runs in her family. I took Lois to Beaufort Memorial Hospital where they prepared her for the Colonoscopy and after the procedure we waited for the Doctor to update us on what he found. After waiting a little while the Doctor finally came in and told us the news that while he was checking everything he found a Large mass or growth that he believed to be Cancer. He said she would have to go through chemo before the Cancer could be removed, but also he said more tests will have to be performed to find out if and where it has spread. We received the Biopsy report the next day and it was confirmed to be Cancer. Lois has a CT Scan scheduled for the August 6 2009 which is Tomorrow. We will update when we find out more.
August 6 2009
I took Lois Today to have her CT Scan and they said a couple of things looked good, but he said she will have to go up to MUSC for more testing. Lois and I feel the Doctor is not telling us the whole story. First the Doctor says we need to move quickly and now he says she has had this cancer for quite a while and a few more days is not going to make a difference. (What does that mean?).
My wife and I have talked and as for our lives we have wanted to live for Jesus and Serve somehow and I will say she never questioned me when we were on the road for 10 years doing the Ministry, and she does not question now. We have said if the Lord wants to use us for His Glory to Draw our Children to the reality of Death and most of all Salvation our Life is His. I don't know what tomorrow will hold but I know Jesus will be there. I will update with more later. God Bless all of you.

Hello everyone? Lois seems to be in good spirits. Talking about it seems to help. I have been calling many of my Preacher friends to have prayer for her situation. It's hard not to cry when you talk about it but at the same time you seem to feel as if the Lord has put His arm around you and whispers "It's going to all right, I will be right here with you."
Lois and I have sat down with the Children and tried to explain what is going on, and it just does not seem real that I have Timmy and Tommy who are my youngest at 9 years old and Lois and myself are falling apart health wise. I keep praying "Jesus just let me live long enough to see these to boys Grown and on their own." but now I say "Lord just let Lois and I live long enough to see our Children grown and on their own." Let the Lords will be done, and I will still love Him the same.
Please keep praying and we will keep you updated.

I was speaking with Lois today and she said the Doctors told her it looks as if she will have to go through 6 weeks of Radiation, and then they will be able to operate. After the operation she will have to go through the radiation again to make sure they got all the Cancer. I still have to take her for tests to see if the Cancer has spread to other parts of the body before anything. I want to thank Pastor Franky Bryant and his Church in Missisippi for helping with some finances to pay for fuel to get my wife back and forth for testing and anything else that might be needed for her. I want to thank all of you who are Praying for Lois because It means alot to to me, and you can't imagine what it means to my wife Lois. God Bless You All.

We have Not heard from the Doctors
August 11 2009
We have Not heard from the Doctors. Lois is in constant Pain and still won't take any pain medication right now for it. We are wanting to get something going with treating her condition, but right now it's wait to hear something from the Doctors. God bless all of you for Praying.
August 12 2009
We thought today would be the day we would hear from the Doctors about getting her test done in Charleston and then getting her
Started on Chemo or Radiation treatments. All this has to be done first before they can operate to try and remove the Cancer. The test in Charleston will determine how embedded the Cancer is and will also determine what, Where, and how much they will need to remove.
Please Keep Lois in your Prayers as I know many of you are already.
Thank You all very Much and God Bless.

My wife called the Doctor today after not hearing anything from them for a few days and they said "Oh we have an appointment for you to see the Cancer Doctor at Beauforts New Cancer Treatment Center on August 25th".
As I was updating the web-site this afternoon we recieved a call from M.U.S.C. in Charleston SC and they have scheduled Lois for some type of UltraSound on August 19th. I don't know what all the tests are for but maybe when they get them done they will tell us whats going on and give us a better picture of what we are looking at and will be looking at. Thank all of you once again for your prayers. We want to thank everyone for signing the gust book also. It is encouraging to know somebody out there cares.
God Bless you all.

Hello everyone and God Bless you for checking the updates.
Lois has received another Phone call setting her up to talk with the surgeon who will be doing the operation. They said the surgeon is a specialist in her case because of where the cancer is located. It makes her operation a little more difficult. I know the Lord can take care of it no matter where it is. Please just keep praying God will give the Doctors wisdom to do what is needed.
God uses people to accomplish things in our life for His Glory. I will Thank the Doctor, but I will Praise the Lord, and I will be forever grateful to the Surgeon but I will be forever indebted to a Savior who Paid all my debt's in a time I was not born, and in a place I did not know, and most of all in a way I could not bare. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Tom Anderson
God Bless you all again

Hello This is Brother Anderson letting you know that we have set up another web page for Lois at: www.mylifeline.org/Lois-Anderson
This is made available for Cancer Patients free of charge. Updates can be seen here or there. Right now it is waiting to see the Doctors and Surgeons. Each Doctor visit is $150-$200 to be paid when you walk in. Pray God will provide some finances to help with the expenses that will quickly pile up. We have no Insurance, and I never wanted to have to ask for financial help, but I put it off as long as I could and will just say If you can Thank You, and If you can't Thank You.

Hello everyone, It seems to be bad news on top of bad news. They did the ultrasound (EUS) today and said the Cancer has embeded itself prettyy deep. The doctor also said it has infected 3 Lymph Nodes that are attached to the Cancer. The Doctor said it is Stage 4 Cancer. For some of you that are not aware of Stage 4 Cancer let me give some information around this:
Stage 4 Colon Cancer is Like an Escaped Prisoner
Think of your colon as a prison and the tumor as an inmate. The "prison" is fortified with five distinct layers, all of which help prevent that inmate from escaping: the mucosa, the submucosa, two thick muscle layers, and the serosa. However, there are pockets of vulnerability throughout the prison (blood vessels and lymph nodes). Hitting one is like having access to a highway.
In stage 4 colon cancer, the prisoner has generally tunneled through several layers of the prison, found the highway, and traveled to another town (usually the liver or lungs).
Treatment for Stage 4 Colon Cancer
Treatment for stage 4 colon cancer may require a surgical resection. In this procedure, a surgeon removes the section of the colon affected by the tumor and joins the remaining healthy sections together to form one long, healthy piece. The use of chemotherapy and/or radiation to treat stage 4 colon cancer varies depending on lymph node involvement, where the tumor went (e.g., the liver, lungs, ovaries, or stomach), and how it's attached.
Survival Rate for Stage 4 Colon Cancer
A lot of things can influence colon cancer survival rates. Stage is a major factor, but tumor location and country of residence have also been shown to impact survival. For example, a tumor in the right colon is often caught later because symptoms take longer to emerge, and in countries where early screening is relatively uncommon, tumors are caught later. Studies have also found that exercise may increase colon cancer survival rates.
In general, approximately 8-15% of people with stage 4 colon cancer are still alive five years after their diagnosis
We are waiting now to hear from the Surgeon to see if the Cancer can or can not be removed. It is in Gods hands and we praise him for what ever his will is, Blessed be the name of the Lord.

I took Lois today to get her CT Scan done at Beaufort Memorial Hospital. This test is to see if the Cancer has spread to her lungs. Lois seems to be taking it well so far, but I know once the Chemo / Radiation treatments begin she will go through much more emotional changes but I know the Lord will help her through all this, and I pray he will help me as well.
We recived a Letter in the mail with my wifes appointment to see the Doctors and Surgeons. She will go back to MUSC in Chaleston SC on Monday the 24th to see the Surgeon, and find out if they will be able to remove the Cancer. This Surgeon has been appointed to her because of where the cancer is located the surgeon will have to be a Sprcialist in this area. Please keep Lois in prayer because she has been going through alot of pain and discomfort because of this Cancer.
Thank you also for the Donations for Lois, because the expense is just begining, and all I know to do is Pray. Thank you all and keep praying.
August 21 2009
We do have some good news. The Cancer has not spread to her Lungs or liver thus far. We have not heard from the Doctor or Surgeon to see if that is Good news, but it sounds good to me from what we read on the CAT Scan Lois had done at Beaufort Memorial Hospital. We will see the Specialist Surgeon on Monday at the Cancer Center in Charleston and he is supposed to let us know what is going on.
Lois is doing well under the circumstances. Please continue in prayer God will heal her, but most of all His will to be done in this. We never know who God is trying to reach through someone else's infirmities, and Lois and I want only Gods will to be done.
Thank You all so very much, and God bless you all for any donations to help. I am glad God gives us the opportunity in life to be a blessing to someone else, because I know they will always remember you cared whether you helped in Prayer, a Kind word, or even a small donation. Lois and I want to thank you from the depths of our heart for all that has been done by you in this time of need.
We have this same information set up at You can just Click the Mylifeline.org Logo and it will take you to Lois' other page. Thank you again.

I took Lois this Morning to MUSC in Charleston SC to see the Speacialist Surgeon. They looked at Lois' reports, and Scans, and then checked her again to see if the Cancer had spread in other places. The Surgeon explained to us a few things that he found and said he was going to treat her as if the Cancer has spread.
Lois will have to Start 6 weeks of Chemo, and then 9 Weeks of Radiation. Once she has reached the last day of her Radiation she is to call the Surgeon and he will Schedule her for another EUS to be done after 4 weeks. Once the EUS is Done then they will determine what to do as far as Surgery.
We are lookng at another 19 weeks before Surgey if it can be done. The Surgeon said he was going to try and Shrink the Cancer withe Chemo and Kill the Spread of the Cancer cells with Radiation. He said he hopes this will allow them to operate and remove all the Cancer.
Lois felt a Ray of Hope today because the Surgeon has the attitude of trying to get something done for her. Lets Pray God will move and work through this for her healing. Thank You all so much for being there and Praying in this time of need. God Bless
August 25 2009
Hello everyone? Well I took Lois to see the Radiation Specialist today. He said they will have to do a PET Scan and see if the Cancer has spread to her Bones, and other area's. Lois will have to go through Chemo Radiation. It will not be 6 weeks Chemo and 9 weeks Radiation like they told us at MUSC. Lois will have the Chemo and Radiation Together. Once she has gone through that she will have to wait 4 weeks befor they will schedule her for another Endoscopic Ultra Sound(EUS), and after this they will see about operating to remove the Cancer. The Radiation Specialist says it looks like Stage 3 which is T4, but The PET Scan will tell if the Cancer is anywhere else. We have been told by the Surgeon it is Stage 4. I am wondering does anybody know. They also told us if they are able to do the Surgery she will have to go through 6 months of Radiation when the Surgery is complete
Please Pray for our finances. The Doctor Visits are not free, and we cant stop now. Pray God will provide. I thank all of you once again for your prayers and Donations to help in our time of need. We shall be forever thankful for your concern and Love. God Bless you all.

We went in today to see the Radiation Doctor, and he explained more in detail what was going on. Lois will have to go in for a Combination of Chemo and Radiation together. I will have to take her to MUSC on Monday August 31 for the Surgeon to put in a Shunt in her Vein so they can administer the drugs needed during the Chemo treatment. This Shunt will be under the Skin so it does not get infected, but allows the medicines, etc to be administered wihout freshly sticking her vein each time when she needs treatment. Once the Shunt has been put in by the Surgeon we will be able to begin her treatments. Lois has a PET Scan comming up on the 14 of September to check if any Cancer has spread to her Bones. Please continue to pray. The Chemo is supposed to shrink the Cancer, and she is scheduled for 6 weeks of treatments, and after the treatments Lois will have to wait a Month before they do all the Tests again which will tell if the Cancer did Shrink and how much surgery will be needed to remove the Cancer. After her Surgery Lois will have to go through 6 Months more of Radiation.

I took Lois today to MUSC to have a Shunt put in her Artery so they could begin her Chemo. When we finnaly got there and went through the Check in and Pay your Visitation Fee, we waited and after a lottle while they called her in to see the Surgeon, and then we sat in another room for a while and then a Lady came in and wondered what we were there for. We thought she was Joking after we Drove 2 hours to have a procedure done and they have no idea why we are there. Needless to say THANK GOD I am A CHRISTIAN because I was fixing to loose it. We have been misled many times now, and I have NO idea if anybody is telling me the Truth or if anybody knows what they are doing. They appologized for the Big Messed Up Mix UP, but never offered to return our Money we Paid for the Visit. I told them to see about scheduling the procedure to be done in Beaufort. No wonder everyones condition gets worse because by the time they run you back and forth on wild goose chases you Run out of money for Doctors visits you didn't need. All I can Say is keep praying because Lois broke down in tears when they said another week to get this procedure done. Lois stays in Pain and Discomfort because of the Cancer. Lois get tired very easily, has to lay down 2-3 times a day now. The Doctors say we need to move quickly in this and then they schedule appointments you don't need and another week goes by.
Thank you all for letting me vent my frustrations, and thank you again for your Prayers. I'm Tired and just want to go home. (Home sick for that other Home Jesus Spoke about).
John 14:1 ¶ Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
